Kings Of Leon Have A Late Summer Picnic In Their Gospel “Radioactive” Video

Pigeon non-fans Kings Of Leon premiered their music video for new single “Radioactive” today on their official site , and it seems the quartet have put their “sex on fire” on ice this time around. The track infuses the quartet’s trademark brand of southern rock with a bit of gospel, while the video features the Followills enjoying a summer BBQ and hanging around with a choir of children. “Gospel music was a big part of us growing up, so to be able to come back and revisit that part of our lives at this stage in our lives is a pretty special thing,” says Nathan Followill in a recent making-of-the-video clip for “Radioactive.” Jared Followill adds, “It does have a kind of spiritual feel, for sure. It is where we came from.” “Radioactive” is Kings Of Leon’s first single off upcoming fifth album Come Around Sundown , which is due out October 19. Just don’t expect the tune to be featured on Glee anytime soon.
